For music lovers, Tramlines has become part of Sheffield’s identity since it was founded in 2009 and its growing popularity continues to attract festival goers from around the country. This year’s event promises to be even bigger, with headline acts including US rappers Wu-Tang Clan and dance music duo Basement Jaxx topping off the most star studded line-up to date.
However, with an estimated 35,000 people attending the festival each day finding hotels in Sheffield for the event, which takes place over the weekend of 24 – 26 July, can often be tricky. That’s when our cUStomised accommodation can come in useful, with bed and breakfast rooms at the University of Sheffield’s Endcliffe residences from £44 per person.
Tramlines Hotels in Sheffield
The rooms are located in the South West of Sheffield City Centre and with music events taking over venues all over the city you’ll never be more than a 15 minute walk away from the action. The Tramlines main stage has moved this year to The Ponderosa Park near the University’s main building which is only a 25 minute walk from the accommodation, whilst the city centre is similar distance.
Tickets for the event are a very reasonable £30, which gains you entry to any of the cities music venues to watch acts across the weekend. However, those without tickets can still enjoy many free to enter venues which host local and touring bands, allowing you to soak in the party atmosphere across the city centre.
Our Endcliffe accommodation in Sheffield offers the perfect balance between comfort, convenience and value and is the perfect base for your Tramlines weekend, with all bookings coming with a cooked breakfast included. Other accommodation options include rooms in our boutique Halifax Hall hotel for even more luxury to rest your head following a busy day’s music and entertainment.
