Delegate information

Travel

If travelling by car, please use the relevant car park for your conference or accommodation. Please note, parking at some of our venues is free of charge (although a permit is required – this can be obtained from your event organiser prior to the conference) although spaces are limited. Contact the conferencewithUS team for more details.

If travelling by Rail, there is a large taxi rank at Sheffield station and we are a 15 minute drive from the station – but allow 1 hour at busy times. There is also a regular bus service which operates from the city centre – just hop on the number 40 or 120 bus (every 10 mins).

Accommodation

Delegates should book into their accommodation at the relevant reception (The Edge* or The Ridge). Keys will be available for collection from 2pm on the day of arrival. Luggage may be left temporarily at reception if you arrive before this time and on the day of departure.

Rooms include fresh towels, a hospitality tray and essential toiletries for your comfort. Please find a list of items below that you may wish to bring for your stay with us:

  • Alarm clock
  • Hairdryer

Delegates are asked to vacate their rooms by 10am on the morning of departure, with luggage arrangements as above. Please remember to return your room keys to the reception desk.

* Please note, even if your event is at Halifax, you will still need to use The Edge reception to check-in to your accommodation.

Catering

If catering is included in your booking, you will find a wide range of quality food is served. Please see our catering pages for more information and examples of our menus. Delegates with special dietary requirements should notify their event organiser at least 10 working days prior to the event and advise catering staff of any requirements at mealtimes. All lunchtime buffets will cater for vegetarian food, which will be labelled.

Other Facilities

There is a cashpoint located in The Edge (near the café) at The Endcliffe Village which is accessible 24 hours a day. A selection of restaurants, shops and pubs are located in Broomhill which is a 5 – 10 minute walk from each of the residence facilities. Alternatively, Sheffield city centre is just a 5 minute taxi ride away.
